The Business School College Student Government Association (SGA)

Purpose

The Purpose of TBS SGA is to improve students learning and social experience at TBS College. The Association seeks to enrich the student experience at the college through a series of activities and to foster a positive relationship between and among student-faculty, staff, and administration. 

Mission

The mission of TBS SGA is to promote the interest of students through activities that enrich their student life and academic success. 

Membership

The membership of TBS SGA is comprised of the executive committee and ordinary members. 

The Executive committee includes all student representatives from the various academic programme; ABE, AMA, AAPM, CIM, CIM, Computer, etc. The executive committee shall comprise all student representatives. The student representative will elect from among themselves a president, secretary, treasurer and committee members.  

All registered students at TBS College are automatic members of TBS College SGA. 

Tenure

The President, Secretary, and Treasurer will serve no more than one academic year and changes to the executive committee will be determined when changing in student representative. The existing executive committee must ensure a smooth transition of the committee member. 

In addition to the bonafide executive members, the student coordinator and student guidance officer shall be Ex-Officio member of TBS College SGA. 

Quorom

Four (4) members of the committee including the ex-officio member shall comprise a quorum for the committee. 

Duties

President

The president will chair all committee meetings and is responsible for ensuring all activities, projects are undertaken. The president of SGA also sits on the Quality Assurance Committee(QA). The president along with other members shall prepare a quarterly list of activities/projects to be undertaken to the administration for perusal and consultation. 

Treasurer

The treasurer shall keep records of all income and expenditure of the association.

Secretary

The Secretary will be responsible for all correspondence for the association.

Meeting

The executive committee will have a statutory meeting once per month or as often as needed.
